There are non-stop accidents at this intersection. Some worse than others, and not all get reported. The light signals are way too short for how much traffic is on these roads now and people are constantly speeding down both 54th and 71st trying to make the light and this is usually the result.

We live right on the corner and its a issue trying to exit with such high rates of speed coming down 71st and turning off 54th. Not only that, but the volume alone has become a environmental disturbance with trucks blasting sub-woofers and drag racing out of the lights at night. Cops need to monitor this intersection because its one of the worst in Pinellas County considering its close to school zones and neighborhoods. There are numerous sound AND speed ordinance infractions law enforcement can cite easily. Want funds? Sit on this corner and write tickets all day. Because its dangerous. We sit on a lot pending development and there is no way anyone is investing on this corner with this nonsense.
