Cleaning Vallejo, No I'm Not Code Enforcement. I was just asking a simple question, I don't know where this emcampment is located. We have so darn many all over the City and nothing is being done!!

City of Vallejo needs to take ownership of this problem. If this is allowed across highway 80 or any other neighborhood this would not be allowed.

Natalie Peterson, was hired in 2020 and tasked with finding a comprehensive solution to the homeless problem in Vallejo. Perhaps get on the horn to City Hall and ask what she's been doing. The more people that call and flood her phone line the better.

Ttarver.. I seen post where they assigned her since the first trailer moved in and still no response I guess since it’s not her neighborhood she probably doesn’t care is becoming larger and larger by day it’s ridiculous mountains of trash car parts, park cars etc..

There are several factors happening for encampments in Vallejo. Code Enforcement can only address them on private property and not public property such as Caltrans property. The City of Vallejo has their hands tied due to court rulings (Martin vs. Boise is one) that a city cannot remove an encampment from public property unless there is a shelter bed available. The Vallejo City Council just approved funding for the Navigation Center to be built on Broadway two weeks ago. Once it is built a peace officer can offer a shelter bed and if refused order the individual to be removed from public property.
There is currently a bill being proposed to address encampments:
Homeless encampments located 500 feet from “sensitive communities” would be targeted for removal under a new bipartisan California Senate bill modeled on San Diego's anti-camping law. State Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones (R-Santee) on Monday introduced Senate Bill No. 1011, which lists Democratic Sen. Feb 8, 2024
I don't have an answer as to why the encampments bring so much trash to their sites which I believe is the major complaint issue with them.

This is seriously getting really bad this is unhealthy and dangerous there is more than 12 cars in this encampment and lots of tents there has to be something that could be done I’m pretty sure if this was a rich people neighborhood police would of done something since the first trailer arrived what kind of city we live in..😡😡this website is a waste of time every complaint there is in this location it says it’s been assigned to Nathalie P… I don’t understand what is taking so long for us to get help,waiting to have a bed for them yea meanwhile us people that actually pay taxes bills and mortgage have to deal with this 😡😡we can’t live safe until this people get free housing great job Vallejo 👏🏼👏🏼maybe we should all just go camp out and not pay a single dime for stuff
