Thanks, I'm forever fishing out trash from my ivy day after day, week after week. Why did the former owners decades ago plant that stuff?! The needles and little baggies are really something special. I'm hoping the ivy will just die if I don't water it this summer making it a little easier to get rid of it. It's back-breaking work!

Thank you for reporting! Public Works has one full-time Maintenance worker whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. This person usually makes 2 or more trips to the dump everyday, with each load weighing in around 1,200 pounds. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

How disgusting. Be careful with the needles. I pick up more swisher sweet packages than anything else, which is sad considering the people I have encountered in this area really can't afford to lose any more brain cells or cognitive function. Many, not all, of the people who inhabit the overcrowded, dumpy rental properties in our neighborhood have only ever lived this way, they don't know any better & get angry when you attempt to address these issues (graffiti, trash, noise, etc). The drugs & relentless thumping help to distract them from thinking about their sub-standard living conditions. It is really sad when you think about it, but I don't want to live within 20 miles of it, let alone 1/2 of a block away. Good luck.
