The property on violet street was torn down by the city and after you tear down the blight then the city abandons the empty properties and they get looking way worse than when there was a house there. Before you spend money to tear down sometimes almost livable properties, you should auction them off to people who want to fix up a house slowly and they need to do the roof and outside of the house first.

I agree Macon is one big trash site .
In neighborhoods left behind especially in Bloomfield areas .
Trash piled in every directions.
Homes torn down now set with grass 5 feet tall .
Report nothing is taken care of .
Except planning zoning is always willing help

The problem with the City tearing down blight houses, is that the city doesn't maintain the property and the grass grows up and the property looks a lot worse than when the house was there. But cutting the grass and bushes is adding to global warming and they may eventually make laws like no cut May so you can't cut the entire yard, just pathways through the yard so the plants and grass will add more oxygen to the air and remove the carbon dioxide from the air and help reduce pollution too

To save money, the city should put tarps on the roofs of the blight houses and plywood on the broken windows and give it or loan it to homeless people who agrees not to start a fire in the house and they can cut the grass with lawn mowers loaned by the city and they can save up money to fix up the house and it would be a win win for the city budget and the homeless people who need shelter. The salvation army could give blankets and clothes and the city would know where the homeless people are in order to take them to a warming shelter or cooling shelter and the transportation would save thousands in tearing down one blight house.

These are the stuff you missed and someone moved the tire and trash out of the grass and propped them against the curb

No one has come to get the illegal dumping and now the grass is too high in the leeway especially at the corner of the streets and I can't put in for leeway cutting because they will just grind up all the trash bags and not cut where the furniture and solid stuff is. It encourages more dumping the longer it stays there.

I have been trying to get it cleaned up for over 2 MONTHS now and it's getting embarrassing for the city.

That's 1087 Violet Street and I have several requests for the clean up but the city won't go to the poor sections of town to clean the illegal dumping. They are just ignoring all my requests and they claimed that they had completed the job but they only got half of some of the piles.

Last week when I went by there, all the illegal dumps of trash etc were still there and they kept closing my other requests. The mayor and commissioners should be firing the employees who are not responding to the requests within 30 days and some types of requests 90 days. The leeways needs cutting really bad and I don't want to put the request in yet, because they will cut through the trash like they did off Anthony Rd in Macon. Leaving trash stuck in the trees and bushes.

The trash is still there on Violet Street, walnut Ave, rose Street and the illegal dumping is now blocking the paved entrance to the shopping center where the storage place is now. There's a lot more furniture behind Georgia duplicating's dumpster which isn't part of GDP property and people are disabled around there and there's even a burnt storage unit and cars down at the corner of pine avenue and Hollis Rd and the bags of trash above are hidden in the tall grass of 1080 Violet Street which the city condemned and the city tore it down and then the city abandoned the blight property. Now it's a dumping ground and I have been waiting during the heat waiting for you to come when it's cool in the morning to remove the illegal dumping. Used to the garbage men would grab some of the trash since the city paid for the trash pickup and they would haul off a lot of the illegal dumping but this new company with machines doing the work then no one wants to do it and the elderly and disabled people live around the neighborhood and they can't physically get the trash and even if they could, you would charge them for them adding more trash to their pickup. I have been waiting months but the city discriminates against the POOR PEOPLE.

There's a lot more than what is in the pictures now all around the neighborhood there and at the shopping center entrance from Pine Ave and on the property behind GA duplicating. They even cut the leeways on Pine Ave without getting up the trash dumped so it's scattered around in the grass.

When you can, please get the illegal dumps. They are putting more out because the old trash is still there and the grass is hiding some of it on Violet Street and they cut the leeway on pine avenue and left a lot by tiny pieces of trash just scattered around and most people living around there are disabled or elderly and I used to help my father get up stuff dumped around the neighborhood but we can't now plus the garbage men charges for the extra trash which isn't fair but people don't have any way to get the garbage if they can't afford to pay the extra money for a second garbage can so people who are able bodied can't afford to be good Samaritans and do street pickups anymore. Used to the garbage men would pick up an unlimited amount of trash and it says that people are entitled to 500 pounds of extra trash x 1 delivery to the landfill each month, but they don't let people who are disabled or seniors have the 500 pounds of extra trash pickup at their actual house.
