There are actually several issues with commerce way. First would be the crosswalk that is located at intersection of commerce way and tiffany street . The crosswalk markings themselves have faded and are basically gone. I stand at that crosswalk a few times a day and cars one after the other just drive right through ignoring me. If ever there was a crosswalk that needed the solar crosswalks signs that I have seen throughout the city and recently on Reed Street this would be the one. Also the crosswalks at the Ice Rink and Adelray are non existent. There really needs to be a speeding study for signage on Commerce way. There has to be some kind of solar illuminated sign after ice rink entrance and before town homes warning people to slow down/watch your speed. Stand on commerce way at crosswalk while a hockey game or practice is getting out and just watch how close cars come to you speeding around the bend. IT'S UNSAFE!! Park in one of the driveways of the town homes of 1405 commerce way and watch as speeding vehicle one after the other speeds towards the crosswalk. There is no way some of these tractor trailers would be able to stop if someone was in crosswalk. This area is a MAJOR cut through. Also cars coming down Tiffany and bear right on Tiffany is a speeding disaster. Not to mention the over weight trucks that travel on Tiffany street on a daily basis. The posted speed limit is 35 probably should be 25. This area has seen an increase in people walking over the past several years due to home construction. We are in need of help. Teenagers leaving practice /games it's a nightmare. Speed traps /police presence would be a start. Thanks
