This has been going on for more than 6 mos. & these people are still here, walking thru the neighborhood every day, checking out every unturned stone, and spreading debris, littering, and making messes at night. They got semi-removed once but they came right back.

This has been going on way too long. Those vehicles have been there for months in the same location. Enforce the parking laws and protect the businesses trying to survive in the area!

I totally support your need to address this issue. I have submitted many, many SCF tickets over the years re homeless encampments and the impact to our neighbors. I have also reached out to our council person and homeless coordinator many times. It is beyond frustrating to be dealing with this problem on a daily basis.

So tired of this. So tired of nothing changing ... unless you count it getting worse as "change" (I don't).

Hello, thanks for the words of support. I just had a difficult conversation with each of these folks about the actions I've taken today. I also circulated a letter to a number of the residents in the immediate area by dropping it on your porch or by putting it on your mailbox. I will attach a copy here as well for full transparency. I posted a notice on the vehicles and have asked them to remove their vehicles by Monday, April 3. They are angry with me and I understand why. It's a difficult situation. If you would also like to see a copy of the notice that I gave them, you can email me and I will send it to you.

AND: just want to add: As business owners, all the owners of property along Telegraph Ave. from Temescal up to the Berkeley border got unwillingly and w/o representation forced to be part of the "Temescal Business Improvement District" (TBID) where the owners of properties along Telegraph get thousands of dollars added to their property bills every year. The TBID supposedly provides cleaning up of graffiti, litter, and maintaining their totally unnecessary stupid planters along Telegraph -- which they do NOT maintain unless you're in Temescal. The neighborhood around 59th/Teleg up to Alcatraz isn't even considered Temescal, it's called Upper Telegraph and any owners who want to object to this unfair TBID taxation please scream at them next chance you get. They're the ones taxing the owners and they're not doing anything to get these obstacles to property owners removed. Dan Kalb is a piece of excrement himself.

It took my neighbors over 3 years of petitioning city officials to rid the open drug dealing at the street corner that had been going on for years. The city did nothing, so we brought a lawsuit. That did the trick.
