Do police actually follow up on this stuff? I've called the non-emergency number, and that doesn't help either--they're listless and uninterested.

This is akin to DUI as far as I'm concerned, yet the texters seem to think it's relatively harmless. Not sure how society can deal with this except by eduction and punishment (treat it like DUI; it's willful law-breaking that endangers others).

We used to have a traffic safety phone hotline, which was widely advertised to the Management Teams. Reports from the hotline were used to issue warnings and tickets.

Unfortunately a lack of leadership and/or staff killed this hotline.

Ok, OK, what do you goody two shoes think the police or this web page can do about this???? Do you have proof that will stand up at trial? Did you make a film or recording of the man doing this???? In short can you back up "YOUR" accusations? You have now posted this mans personal information. liberal girl, no one is asking the police to go back and ticket the driver. this is a way to document the number of offenses in a neighborhood that can be then carved out later to make a case for changes in laws or enforcement strategies. there is the standing directive from seeclickfix that requests people take pictures of offenders rather than listing their license plate. the license plate of a vehicle is not personal information. it's state owned property in the public right of way.
