Cars crossing here can reach 50mph. Crosswalks should be raised and double as a speed bump.

Unfortunately, I don't believe those cross-walks were official. They were part of an "urban impact" project from a VCU student. Having said that, I agree that real, permanent crosswalks are needed at this intersection.

I am choosing to pretend they are real... just as the parking ticket person does. She wrote me a ticket earlier this week for blocking two of the "crosswalks". I was unloading from my truck and was inside the office for approximately 10 minutes- tailgate down, hazards on. Came out as she finished writing it. I protested of course and she insisted they were real and refused to tear it up. Instead of wasting time fighting the ticket in court- I've decided to put the energy into making her vision a universal reality. Because that's what we all really want anyway. Strange isn't it.

So- if they are real- fix them! If they are not real- give me my $40 back and cross your fingers that no one gets seriously injured or killed in that very unsafe combination of intersections.

Those "fake" crosswalks were great. Pedestrians used them and cars (sort of) adhered to them. It is a busy intersection with restaurants and businesses on the corners - why not make it safer? I like the idea of speed bumps - traffic moves way too fast through there.

This intersection is seeing more and more foot traffic, due in part to the great businesses in the area. We're corralled to cross Broad near this intersection, but face a greater risk trying to safely navigate Adams. I'm terrified every time I have to cross with my son here.

I would mine in helping to paint these cross walk to make all safe when crossing the streets.

Bring us the paint and we will have a paint party to mark cross walk, it will benefit all who crosses the street

This was fixed years ago. There are now permanent crosswalks painted where the trial ones were found to have worked.
