I was walking home a couple of weeks ago during a windy day and a piece of loose siding flew off this house and almost hit me. It’s yet another decrepit, seemingly abandoned house in the neighborhood. This house has been in this condition for years and it sits prominently at the corner of Winchester Ave and Compton Street, in direct eyesight of Yale. This is an embarrassment for the city and the Yale community.

Owners who cannot be bothered with upkeep of their property should be fined until they either fix up their abandoned homes or sell it to people who are willing to invest in the neighborhood.
