Your information is very wrong. I have have lived at 365 Mather St. for 30 years. I watched the canal being built and the fence along side it being constructed. The fence was built several years before the Housing complex at 415 was even built. I have spoken with Ken Peck and Congressmen Josh Elliot regarding this issue before and if need be I will do so again.

A Parks crew is being dispatched this morning to inspect and make any repairs if possible.

Our town made an error when they posted a comment that the fence is privately owned. They have modified the comment to indicate the fence is a town fence.

Thanks for repairing the fence on the trail and putting in two new posts to keep the fence up-right. How-ever one issue remains to be completed ..... the posts need to be painted.

The post are pressure treated lumber and need to be completely dry before you can paint which could take two to four months. The post will be painted in the spring of 2022.
