Hi according to the article link below, if the helicopters are causing a safety issue then we have to file a complaint with FAA. They will not address any noise complaint.
Is there an app that can tell me how low a helicopter is flying? If so, then we can use that as a back up as a potential danger.

Albio Sires is working on legislation around this but his office says they need to hear more from his constituents.
You can call his JC office at 201-309-0301 and leave a comment. They said I was the first to do so since 2013.

This was good to hear from that article. We'll see if it's true:
"Air traffic over their buildings should drop by 80 percent by September, the heliport spokesman said."

Here is the FAA's guide to low flying helicopters:

I believe they have a waiver for the 500/1000 rule because of proximity to EWR flight paths.
These are the companies that do most of the flying, in case you want to contact them for an "inquiry"

Anyone bothered by the helicopters should email our congressman, Albio Sires. There is a campaign to reduce helicopter traffic and the more emails he gets, the better.
You can email him here:

There is also a group working to ban nonessential helicopter flights over the area. Check out Stop the Chop here:
