So sad to see this city in this condition. Been here for 50 of my 56 years. New residents this isn’t how Antioch has always looked!

It is sad. Two reasons I believe have led us here. One, there are too many laws and loopholes to jump through in order to git rid of these vagrants. Two, and I believe this one goes a long way, Antioch has never had a Council so committed to making Antioch a hub for homelessness and less committed to the taxpayers of Antioch. I'm sure there are more underlying issues but these two are at the top of the list. Look at Brentwood, Pittsburg and Oakley, neither of them have the homeless problem we do. One common ingredient, they have Council's that don't put up with vagrants in their communities. PERIOD. TBA

You want to change this, change the council to fresh blood. So many just move positions and nothing gets done.

One of the biggest reasons this city is going down the drain is Lamar Thrope. I have tried to put a list together, and Sue the he'll out of this city, and specifically Lamar, but no one wants to sign, so no one can complain about it, since no one wants to participate. Lamar has been and advocate for the drug attics (Homeless) and nothing now has been done. Now as Mayor, the whole thing is a joke.

In short. Let's stop complaining and to accept that this this city is crap.

They are gone, for now and after YEARS of filth and a stain on our community. WOW, it got cleaned up and they haven't been back. What was so hard to have let it continue for years? Apply the same tactics to every vagrant encampment and achieve the same results, try something different for a change. FOOS
