  • 184 Bobbin Head Road Turramurra, New South Wales - Wahroonga
Redesign of the Bobbin Head/Burns Rds intersection to provide right-turn bay into Burns Rd eastbound has resulted in removal of southbound cycle shoulder on uphill from Burns Rd to and beyond Spurwood Rd. Cyclists are squeezed, intimidated and endangered by impatient drivers in narrow lane. Request narrowing of lanes on western side of Bobbin Head Rd approaching Burns Rd traffic lights and reinstatement of cycling shoulder.
  • 115 North Rocks Road North Rocks NSW 2151, Australia - Baulkham Hills - South
The shoulder narrows here due to road furniture. The upstream no parking sign is placed after the shoulder narrows, so that parked cars (photo) force cyclists into the active trafic lane, where the road furniture prevents vehicles from overtaking safely. Liklihood of incident / accident possible. Severity consequence high to very high because a vehicle would be involved. Action requested: move no parking sign to where the shoulder starts to narrow as is the case with the downstream sign. Cost to move sign low.

Liklihood of incident / accident possible. Consequence Severity very high due to potetnial from cycle / vehicle interactino at high speed. Actino requrested: adjust lane marking to allow legal use of shoulder by bicycles.
  • 53-57 Rawson St Epping, New South Wales - Parramatta - North-East
Ramp needs to build consistent to the traffic lights. To access the one on the Coles side, coming from becroft rd we have to walk around to get access to it, getting too close to the cars going about on carlingfort rd.
  • 294 Pacific Highway Hornsby, New South Wales - Hornsby - South
Multiple new road furntiture on Old Pacific Highway Hornsby forces bicycles into traffic lane. This is a high bicycle traffic area particularly in peak hours and weekends. There are no alternative routes with cycle lanes. Why would ?Council do this when it would cost less to make the obstacles smaller and leave a metre for cyclists? Was ther no consultation with cycle groups? Likelihood of cycle vehicel interation possible to liely. Svereity consequence high to very high dependnig on vehicle speed. Action Requested: realigh traffic furntirue to make safe pasage for cyclists. Costs: negative if done in the plannign stage - now moderate.
  • 1-15 Samantha Riley Drive Kellyville NSW 2155, Australia - Baulkham Hills - North
The shoulder is wide enought to use. However when the intersection was resurfaced a nasty lip was created that forces bicycles into the active traffic lane. Liklihood of incident/ accident possible. Severity Consequence high to very high due to possibly of vehicel interaction. Cost to fix moderate - negligible if done at time of construction.
  • 279 Galston Road Galston NSW 2159, Australia - Hornsby - North
Lost opportunity to continue the separated shoulder for cyclists exiting the Gorge. The new design forces cyclists into the active traffic lane when they are going slowly and in a high cycle use area. Likelihood of incident accident possible. Consequence severe because a car will be involved. Picture shows the old shoulder which was not continued when the intersection was remade. Action requested: develop a cycle friendly policy for designing roads and consult with cycle groups when planning road works
