Something needs to be done about the hooligans in this town who are spray buildings with this hateful trash

For the this time in 6 months this lovely building with, artwork by Scott Hove, has been hit by vandals. Very very sad. The city apparently is not interested in our complaints via email

Almost alongside Bakesale Betty (which has its own graffiti issues).
  • 502 45th Street Oakland, CA 94609, USA - Temescal
Bay Area Animal Hospital signage is covered in graffiti; it makes the business looks abandoned (its not.) And its ugly. They should clean it up or lose the sign.

Thank you all for checking out these two videos that our cameras captured. Maybe you know these people?
These two links on YouTube show 3 young men climbing out of their Subaru and proceeding to cover the artwork of Scott Hove on 26th street. Watch both videos if you have the time.... They spent a total of about 20 minutes before one of our local homeless people chased them off wielding a long pipe.

The first video shows them pulling up, testing their paints on the street before then moving around the corner to park on Adeline. From there they walked back to the artwork and proceeded to cover it with their trash.

The building owner was good enough to clean it immediately and refurbish the artwork. This continues to be an issue in West Oakland and needs to be addressed. It will happen again in this same spot and will until the city chooses to take a hard line and prosecute those who are picked up.

On utility pole at northeast corner of intersection.
  • 3200 Lakeshore Ave Oakland, CA 94610, USA - Cleveland Heights
Please catch this jerk. Ps: this business does an excellent job of painting over graffiti quickly, so this will be gone within a couple of days. I'm reporting it because There should be a record of how much damage this heru person has done. :(
  • 3801 Broadway Oakland, California - Mosswood
At the AC Transit bus stop at the northwest corner of 38th and Broadway.
  • 1151-1199 26th Street Oakland, CA 94607, USA - McClymonds
This vandalism happened at 11:26:07 - 5/30/14- Friday night. I have video of the young woman doing the black paint on the side of my building. She went in down the street and continued her work as well as on the fence at Adeline and grand. There is quite a good shot of her face as she looks around to see who is watching. Several other people appear to follow her along the street, some running and many on bicycles. They really hit a lot of surface last night along 26th. Will the city follow up on this?

In Oakland's Morcome Rose Garden, directly above the area where weddings are held, a large circular grafitti piece is being created, day by day, on the concrete ground. The tagger shows up early in the mornings, and I caught him in the act today, Sunday, between 6:00 am and 6:30 (3-2-2012). He is a caucasion male, about 5'10 and 165 pounds. He arrives on a bicycle with his paint, stencils, and other materials. Richt now a large section of concrete has been painted black, with white concentric circles being applied on top. A lot more is to come. Please send someone to stop this, and to remove what's already there (perhaps Rick Delmore, who I recently met in Mrocom Rose Garden. Rick works for the City in Grafitti abatement). Please don't let this continue. The garden is too lovely for us to ignore this. Thank you. Grady Knowes, a neighbor, 510-708-5544 grady.knowles@att.net

There is almost always graffiti on this blue mailbox. The city will need to paint over it because the Federal Post Office will not make time to do it -certainty not as often as we seem to need it done!
